Google Android

Android is a mobile operating system running on the Linux kernel. It was initially developed by Google and later the Open Handset Alliance.
My fascination with Android came from two angles: I needed a new fancy phone, but loathed the idea of closed source OS's (having being a committed user of Linux for the last 12 years at the time of writing), and I love Google. Yes I said it, I love Google, despite all the people out there who use the word "privacy" in every sentence. They've got some really cool stuff going on, and the ability to integrate this into a phone was just too good to put down ;-)
Hopefully, as time goes by, I will be adding newer docs to this section, but for now you are limited to (on this website):
- Installing the Android SDK on Linux
- Rooting your HTC Magic Android Phone with CyanogenMod
- Creating video files for Google Android phones using MEncoder
- Rooted Android Tips & Tricks
